Review: Kiro's Emily - Abbi Glines
Review: Kiro's Emily - Book #9.5 Rosemary Beach Series - Abbi Glines - December 2014
It has been years since I have read an
Abbi Glines book but being in pain after a tooth extraction, I needed something
to read and I thought why not read Kiro's Emily as it was a novella, so a
quickie read as well. As we recall Kiro Manning was part of the band
Slacker Demon along with Dean Finlay, he never believed in soulmates or that he
was worthy of love until he met Emily. Emily was at one of his concerts with
her cousin Sonya when they managed to score a backstage pass to the groupie
lounge with the bandmates. Sonya's goal was to sleep with the band members;
however, she got her wish but it was innocent Emily who captured their
attention and eventually Kiro's eye and heart. Their love was a whirlwind of
deep emotions and Emily made Kiro a better guy, without her he wouldn't have
had a relationship with his son Mase who stars in his book When I'm Gone. Kiro
also wouldn't have his daughter Harlow if it wasn't for Emily and their
granddaughter. Kiro also does share a daughter with Georgianna who was Dean's
baby mama also - Nan. I loved this story as we got to learn more about
Emily as in the previous books, we just saw her as she is now - a shadow of
herself and slowly dying after her accident. The other thing I loved about
reading this book, was being hurled back into the world of Rosemary Beach/
Seabreeze and reunited with some favorite characters and names.
Kiro's Emily is Abbi Glines's version of The
Notebook by Nicholas Sparks - a true love soulmate read.
