Aimee and the Heartthrob (Backstage Pass #1)

Review: Aimee and the Heartthrob - Book #1 Backstage Pass Series - Ophelia London - April 2015

This series is one that I have actually in the past 5 years, read books 2 - 5 and finally scrolling through my kindle this past week, read Book #1 Aimee and the Heartthrob. For those who haven't read the series. This series is based on a boy band called S2J aka Seconds to Juliet and each member has a nickname. Each book is standalone about one of the band members and their search for true love and a good girl, someone who isn't with them for the fame and fortune but because they care and love for them. Book #1 features Miles whose nickname is the Heartthrob and has a bit of a reputation for being the charming British one with a playboy attitude. Before being in the band, he was part of a Big Brother program with Aimee's older brother Nick and soon became close friends with Nick and Aimee's family. Aimee had the biggest crush on Miles until he broke her heart. She even wrote fan-fiction but once he got famous, she couldn't stand to hear his name so deleted the blog and never read or heard anything of S2J.  Over Summer break her parents spend time with Doctors Without Borders and normally she spends the time with her best friend Becky. However, Becky has caught mono- the kissing disease and Aimee has to spend the summer with Nick on a concert tour with S2J. Her worst nightmare. A lot can happen in a couple of years and eventually, Aimee and Miles hit it off but when things from both their pasts come bubbling to the surface, both of who have been burned before - Can they trust each other to overcome the rumors, etc and find true love in each other’s arms?  On a side note, one of the things I loved about Aimee was that she is a book vlogger and reviewer, as a reviewer myself this made me like her character more. If you love Boy Bands and YA Romance, then check out Aimee and the Heartthrob by Ophelia London before the year is up.
