Review: Starters - Book #1 Starters and Enders Series - March 2012
Add one of the most amazing covers I have seen in a long time and pair it with an amazing story that will have you hooked from the very first page and once finished will have you wanting to read the other books in the series. The end result is "Starters" by Lissa Price. Book #1 in her new series Starters and Enders is a fabulous read . We are transported to a world where most people have been wiped out by a war of Spores and the population are split into two categories - you have the Enders which are the old people and Starters - the young ones.  Those without Enders to help support them are given an opportunity to earn some quick cash by signing up with Prime Destinations - a Body Bank in which with modern technology, a memory chip and a push of a button. Starters can rent out their bodies to Enders who are wanting the thrill and adrenaline of being young again. There is no more need for a fountain of youth, when all you have to do is rent a body for a week etc. Callie has signed up for Prime Destinations as a last resort to help provide her baby brother Tyler a home. When her last renter borrows her body and for a month, Callie gets a bit worried especially when she learns that her renter has altered her chip and now Callie has been experiencing blackouts when Helena - the Ender takes over her body. All is going well until Callie discovers that Helena wants her to murder those in charge of Prime Destinations as they have been kidnapping children and Ender's grandchildren and using their bodies. When it's discovered that their is more than meets the eye at Prime Destinations , with Helena's mind- assistance and Callie's body , Can the pair of them work together to save their loved ones even if it comes down to the fact , it may be too late for them ?
Starters is one of the best books I have read this year and is one title that you will not be able to put down at all and as I said before, the cover is TDF :)
