Review: The Murder Room - Michael Capuzzo- November 2010
Are you a fan of murder mysteries , especially those cold cases - the ones that go unsolved for years on end, the ones that for some apparent reason nobody can get a handle on them ?.
Do you sit in front of the TV and watch TV shows like Criminal Minds, Bones , The Mentalist, Medium and marvel at their crime fighting abilities be it via the mind or forensics or even profiling ? Do you think that the best detective that ever lived and do you idolise Sherlock Holmes ? If you answered yes to all those questions like myself, then The Murder Room is the perfect read for you. I was amazed when I first picked up this book as I was like WOW , a secret murder society named the Heirs of Sherlock Holmes, the best of the Crime fighting business getting together in one room to solve unsolved cases , it would be like a dream come true to watch them all in action . These are the ones who can solve a crime by listening to someone talk , looking at a unrecognizable skull and sketching up a picture that looks uncanny to the victim. Included in The Murder Room are stories of cases that they have solved, how they became who they are today and the turning points in their lives. Also if Crime and Justice is your forte and passion, then you will find this one of the most fascinating and inspirational reads and you won't find anything else like it. The Murder Room I believe should be on the required reading lists for all Criminology papers and studies.
Highly Recommended by The Phantom Paragrapher :)
