A Pocket Full of Kisses

Review: A Pocket Full of Kisses - Audrey Penn - June 2006

When I first saw this title , it brought back to my mind the nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Roses" , A Pocket full of Kisses is the perfect story to read your children especially if they have just got or they have coming a new sibling . As having a new baby brother or sister , though it can be fun, it can also be tough on the sibling as all of a sudden it's not just them anymore and they have to share their toys, stuff and parent's love with them. A Pocket Full of Kisses introduces us to the Raccoon Family, where Chester has just gotten a new baby brother called Ronny. However Chester , isn't very happy and he starts to feel jealous especially when Ronny gets a Kissing Hand from Mama Raccoon , as that was Chester's special thing. The story then goes on to talk about how Mother Raccoon has a whole pocketful of kisses and like the stars - it never ever runs out and that there is always enough for the both of them.
A cute story about sharing with a new brother or sister and packed into a short 32 pg Picture Book.
