Review : Wild Rose's Weaving - Ginger Churchill

Ever been called to do something but it's such a nice day that you would rather play than do something that you imagined as Boring ?

Wild Rose's Weaving

Review: Wild Rose's Weaving - Ginger Churchill - October 2011

For Wild Rose , she couldn't see anyhting more boring than sitting inside of a nice wonderful day with her Nana and helping her out with her weaving. Not when she'd rather play outside with the animals , in the rain and have a fun ole time playing as who really wants to be stuck inside , especially not a little girl like Rose. Wild Rose's weaving reminded me a bit of the Little Red Hen story but with a different twist at the end . When Little Red Hen was doing all the work and asking the others to help and they all came up with excuses, yet when it came to eating the food -though none had helped prepare it , they still wanted a wee taste of it all.
At the end of this 32pg childrens Picture book , we see Wild Rose come inside and marvel at her Grandmother's finished work - a beautiful rug that she weaved and of course to make the childrens book have a happy ending unlike our Little Red Hen , Wild Rose decides to help Grandma make a beautiful RAINBOW Quilt.
A Lovely story that all nanas should read to their grand-daughters.
