Twilight Prophecy (Children of Twilight)

Review: Twilight Prophecy - Children of Twilight Series - Maggie Shayne - April 2011

Meet twin Vampires James William aka J.W and Brigit Poe , upon their first drinking of blood and discovering what they were - VAMPIRES. They went their separate ways as James could not handle becoming an evil bloodsucker and put his gifts of healing to work by scouring the corridors of hospitals - healing those young ones who had terminal diseases. The novel starts with James healing a 10yr old girl called Melinda of cancer when his sister Brigit turns up after years of his so-called turning his back on them and what they have turned into. However , Brigit is seemed to have found the twins calling and prophecy, Brigit has found an article written by a Dr. Lucy Lanfair that foretells that Armageddon is about to hit the world and soon James and Brigit are thrust in a mission to save the world, thinking that they are the key but as time goes on they discover that the true key to saving the world is actually the Dr. herself. But Lucy soon realizes that she holds this powerful immortal’s soul in her hands and that it’s her destiny not only to stop a war but to save him from his inner darkness. If she fails, his race will die—and so will her heart. Is the power of love strong enough to save the world and James?
This book is truly for fans of Maggie Shayne's writing styles as in parts are similar to her other Twilight writings.
