Blood and Ashes. Matt Hilton

Review: Blood and Ashes - Book #5 : Joe Hunter Series - Matt Hilton - February 2011

Have you been hanging out for a Joe Hunter fix ? Well , readers get ready as with Book #5 Blood and Ashes by Matt Hilton, we get to go on another thrilling and action-packed ride with our favourite ex-military british fellow Joe Hunter.
Called by an old friend, Don Griffiths asking for help from a long-gone criminal ,Joe ignores the phone call until the next day his eldest daughter Brooke is killed in what is being chalked up as an tragic accident. However after a second attack is made on the other daughter Millie , Joe realises that they aren't playing around and it isn't all just a bunch of paranoia - something real bad is going on.
From the first chapter we see Joe do his thing as he kills a couple of hitmen in awesome and planned skillfully ways . Can Joe enlist the help of his partner Rink and along with Don realise who just is targeting his family and what will happen when they realise what they are up against is just more than a couple of killers but in fact a whole brigade and an operation that everyone from the CIA to the FBI and DEA are trying to uncover.
Blood and Ashes would have to be one of Matt Hilton's most action-packed novels yet and I can't wait for another Joe Hunter to be released.
P.S - For our Top Ten Tuesday we had to do what book characters we would like as family and I choose Joe Hunter as an Uncle or Dad. Though thinking he's more Uncle material.
