Pride (The Elite Seven, #2)

Review: Pride - Book #2 The Elite Seven Series - J.D Hollyfield - February 2019
Remember Evie Blackwell from the Greed by Amo Jones story? Pride represents Evie's older brother Mason Blackwell. Remember their foster mother, the one who got Evie sent to "The Captain." She is also the same one who sent Mason to jail for a couple of years and then when he was released; she handed him a pass into St. Augustine. He thought he would finally be free of her evil ways, but turns out she is not only the Dean's new wife but also the school's guidance counselor and the one who controls this year picking of The Elite Seven. She has always had a thing for Mason and has chosen him to represent Pride, which is everything Mason has embodied as himself since he has no-one in the world to rely on except himself. Now that Mason has been reunited with his sister and Micah. The pair of them will do everything they can to save themselves, even if it means doing the devil's bidding. Mason loves the world of BDSM and excites him, during one of his adventures he finds someone who is just like him, someone he can have fun with. It turns out that the female is, in fact, a new teacher at St. Augustine and teaching Theology and Religion. A good cover for someone who is secretly into the BDSM lifestyle. Meghan is also the Dean's niece, and now Mason's task is to expose her dark side to the world. If so, then he gets to sit at the head of the Elite Seven as Pride and if he fails - he can kiss not only his life goodbye but his sister Evie's. Another incredibly dark and edgy installment in the world of The Elite Seven. I have to say I did love this one as Mason did get revenge on those who have hurt him and the ones he loves.
