Review: Percy Jackson & The Olympians - The Lightning Thief Graphic Novel

As we know , Im not really huge on two things; The first is adventure stories but in saying this it depends what the adventure originates from as I love my pyschological adventures and the National Treasure type hunting stories and of course you can't go wrong with Jack Reacher.  The second is Graphic Novels, I don't mind them to say as you can get through them pretty quickly but nothing beats sitting down with a proper book.

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Lightning Thief: The Graphic Novel (Percy Jackson & the Olympians)

Review: The Percy Jackson and The Olympians : Lightning Thief : The Graphic Novel- Rick Riordan - October 2010

Think back to Greek mythology where the Gods ruled the world and then thousands of years later, the Gods decided that they wanted a bit of human action and came down to earth and had relationships with mortal women and men. This of course led to a whole world of half-gods aka Demigods being born and created. One of those Demi-Gods happens to be Percy Jackson. Percy has never been one for schools and it seems like all he is destined to is getting into trouble. However it will soon be revealed that the reason behind his doing bad in school is because he has God status written all over him . From his hyperactivity - the fact that he is a warrior at heart , his dyslexia - this is because his mind is programmed to read Ancient Greek not modern English.
The story starts when Zeus's lightning bolt disappears and he thinks that Posideon has hidden it and that he has given it to his son Percy, however at this point Percy doesn't realise he is related to Posiedon and soon a group of Furies are after him. For a modern day read on Furies "Check out Shirley Marr's book :The Fury". This forces Percy to head into his life as a demi-god and join a camp for others like himself , Here Percy will meet Athena's daughter and along with his friend Grover, they must seek to find the lightning bolt and help save the world from destruction.

  2. I'm new to developing internet sites and I was wondering if having your blog title related to your content really that crucial? I see your title, "Blogger: The Phantom Paragrapher " does seem to be spot on with what your website is about but, I prefer to keep my title less content descriptive and based more around site branding. Would you think this is a good idea or bad idea? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
