Review : EyeLeash : A Blog Novel by Jess C. Scott - 2009

Have you ever sat and watched a seventeen year old , ok rewind that sounds scary and creepy. Have you ever wondered what goes on in a seventeen year old's mind. Well prepare to be amazed as Jess Scott delves into the mind of seventeen year old Jade Ashton , a sassy and fashionista girl who also happens to still be a virgin which in today's society is quite rare really with the sudden uproar of teen pregnancies and girls as young as 12/13 having children when they are basically children themselves.
EyeLeash is for all those modern chickettes who are technologically with it as the story is written in the form of a blog. In her blog, for her eyes only she rants and raves about fitting in and conforming in a world filled with plastics and materialistic people , superficiality and supreme. She talks about everyday life from parents, friends and so-called friends and of course womanly issues .
When she finally meets a gorgeous guy who plays in a band - a muso Novan all her logic and common sense about guys flies out the window , which we all know happens when we meet a guy and fall in love. They start out as FWB's ( friends with benefits) which is going ever so well , when Novan gets cold feet and backs out .
EyeLeash is filled with rants, raves , IM"s (Instant Messages) , Poems and Songs.
EyeLeash reminds me of a mix between Lauren Myracle's series TTYL etc and the movie/book Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist .
EyeLeash captures self-discovery in the 2000s, and showcases the colorful, intricate drama in two youths' relentless search for themselves--and what's really in their hearts
