A Gift for A Princess - Miranda Neville

I couldn't find the exact book cover to go with this review of a novella by author Miranda Neville , so I decided to browse on Google images for some pictures of Romance Novel Cover Art and though this one is set outside , I thought it was a beautiful cover depicting the art of romance heightened and described in these novels.

A Gift for a Princess - Miranda Neville

Lady Susan widowed after her husband died during the war , she goes to live with her cousin Lavina. Compared to Susan , Lavina is described as out there , vibrant , beautiful and the girl that all the guys want.
Whereas Susan sees herself as Lavina's dumpy and ugly customer and has come to the conclusion that no guy wants a widowed women, definitely not one looking like her.
Mr.Wyford is by the sounds of it , a tutor of sorts or a friend of Lavina's as he is drawn into the story after telling the girls about a book. Lavina has her eyes set on him as a current marriage prospect. Isn't it funny that back then, men were the ones seen as pieces of meat and the woman sought them out like wolves in a sense but definitely not savagely, it would have been very subtle and ladylike.
However it is not Lavina , Mr Wyford's eyes are set on it is Susan. Will Susan be able to let her feelings beknown to Mr Wyford or will she not look as deeply and think that he is after Lavina.
What starts their relationship in motion is a case of one night passion, where she is treated as a princess by a masked Mr Wyford.
When reading this book , Susan seemed alot like myself - shy, lovable , knowledgeable especially when it came to books . Whereas Lavinia sounded exactly like my sister in some ways.
If A Gift for a Princess was made into a movie , I would put as Cast
Susan : Drew Barrymore or Amy Adams
Lavina: Hillary Duff
Mr Wyford : Jude Law or Hugh Jackman
