Review: Untamable - Jamie Schlosser - September 2017
Emery Matthews was working at a Vet clinic as an
assistant when he was approached to star in a new animal reality TV show called
"The Pussy Tamer." Here
Emery would go to different clients houses,
do his thing and then adopt the cats out
to their new homes and all would be happy. The producers would be happy, and he would get paid as he rebuilt his
college fund. Now Emery is back on his home turf and been given the task of
convincing a pussy hoarder to get rid of her nine cats. He is expecting some
old granny and a house full of stuff but what he gets is sexy Costume shop
owner Estelle and a house full of cats all named after the Brady Bunch family
including the lovely housekeeper Alice. Estelle was dumped and then fell in
love with cats that needed a home, and they
became her companions. As the book goes along, we see sparks fly between Emery
and Estelle and learn a bit more background on how Emery came to be known as
"The Pussy Tamer." Untamable
was a fun romantic comedy read which is perfect for any Cats owners out there. Personally, I am not much of a cat person myself, but I did love the interaction between
Emery and Estelle especially when Emery took Estelle to meet his Dad who has Alzheimer's. This part hit home as we had to
put my Grandad in a home about six years
before he passed away as he too was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it was quite scary to see first hand the rate of deterioration. Untamable has everything you
want for a good book with a balance of laughs, romance and relationships with a
serious note of illness of a loved one.
