Review: Goodnight Love - Sumi Loundon Kim - February 2023 It has been a while since I read some picture books and today, I was stuck for books as the past two days, everything I tried was just not grabbing me - they were boring me. I knew that a cute picture book would do it. Goodnight Love was a very cute book about meditation named Metta which focuses on aspects of kindness and thanking everything around them. The book starts with a cute sloth who is getting ready to go to bed, but before he could go to bed, he decides to go through his practice of metta.  Goodnight Love is the perfect picture book for children aged 3-6 years old and helps children learn to appreciate everything around them and take a breath and acknowledge the beauty around them from the mountains to the jungle floors and most of all love from family and friends. The other thing that was great about Goodnight Love is the book follows repetition with the metta mantra that helps children to think positively every...

Review: Only Ants for Andy - Jashar Awan

Review: Only Ants for Andy - Jashar Awan - October 2021 This was a very cute picture book and perfect for children aged 3-6 years old. In this picture book, Andy goes to visit his friend Sam and Sam is a sloth. At home in his own house, Andy has his favorite things like toys, music, and food. He also does things differently in his house than Sam the Sloth. At Sam's house, everything is different and Andy is a bit nervous and unsure about things. However, he will soon discover that trying new things can be a fun experience and doesn't need to be scary and hard. This is a good book for children to introduce them to differences as everywhere they go will be a different and new experience and with Only Ants, for Andy, you can show them to be like Andy and embrace the differences and try new things without being frightened and scared. Be Brave like Andy. Also what is important with all picture books is the illustrations and the inside is just as cute as the cover. Amazon : https:/...

Review: Slothy Claus - Jodie Shepherd

Review: Slothy Claus - Jodie Shepherd - November 2021 This Christmas Santa Claus is taking a wee break and has passed on the job to Slothy Claus. Now it is up to Slothy Claus to get the presents together and deliver them all around the world. Of course, we all know that Sloths are the slowest creature in the world, so of course, this Christmas doesn't get to happen till July which would make this the perfect Midwinter Christmas story.  This book was also adorable as it showed children that you don't need presents on Christmas to be happy, that being with friends and family is just as great. What I also loved about this book was the wonderful illustrations by Mackenzie Haley. Slothy Claus makes the perfect read for children aged 0-5 years old and fun to read for lovers of Sloths and those who love everything Christmas. Amazon: https://amzn.to/3ju4Q8c
