The cover grabbed my attention as well. In Her Last Winter, we meet Cassie who has moved to the mountains with her husband Rory. He is a tour guide and she is a writer. Often her husband calls her and lets her know that he is running late or will be home shortly. In A Perfect Likeness, we meet Isobel who has just moved back home after living in Melbourne for the past decade. After failed relationships and pregnancy, she has decided to live the quiet life in a house she inherited from her grandfather and the trust fund she has just come into. One morning whilst running on the beach, Isobel finds a dead body whom she later finds out is called Veronica.
