The book started as a thriller where we meet the good doctor Madeline Pine. She is a well-known psychiatrist. We get the impression that she is having some family issues and her husband and daughter have gone away for Christmas. Again, we have a feeling it is about drugs - but we don't know. Madeline gets a phone call from a Private Investigator Matt. A young girl has been found dead on the campus of a boarding school. It has always been one of my favorite board games.
