The boys and Macie don't want to have to go through everything with Piper that happened the last time she was reset and so Brennan hacks into Stanley Hyde's computer and finds that he is on their side and has uploaded a back-up file so her memories as Piper 3.0 won't be lost. However, Piper is going to work extra hard at keeping her lives and stories straight as she knows the consequences of what Jackie will do if she is not exactly a new Piper. Review: The Proxy - Book #2 The Thorns of Rosewood - Cassie James and Christine Kelsey - August 2019 At the end of Book #1, we read as Jackie stormed with Piper 2.0 into Stan's office and had her reset as the first replacement Piper was nowhere like her daughter.  When she returns, the boys notice that she is different and is acting a whole lot like the OG Piper which isn't the one they have all fallen head over heels in love with. Review: The Replacement - Book #1 The Thorns of Rosewood Series - Christine Kelsey and Cassie James - July 2019 When I grabbed The Replacement by Christine Kelsey and Cassie James, I have to admit I thought I was just reading another bullymance novel that would turn into a reverse harem. Other than that I wasn't sure what I would get. Turns out that this book has a twist as the main character is, in fact, an AI robot designed to look like Piper Hawthorne. The real Piper Hawthorne died at the end of the year at a party and now her parents have paid an up and coming scientist to create a replacement for them as Piper 2.0. She has all of Piper's memories and the questionnaire answers uploaded to her system and was created to be a comfort to those who lost Piper.
