Review: The Good Girls - Claire Elizabeth Bartlett

Review: The Good Girls - Claire Elizabeth Bartlett - December 2020 The cover of this book and the tagline got me and so when I began to read it, it started well as it starts with a supposed dead girl aka Emma. She was pushed off the bridge at a popular spot where two years earlier another girl died aka Lizzy. The prime suspect, in this case, is a bit of a cliche but they look at Claude Vanderley who is known as the residential troublemaker. As the book gets on they also interview Avery Cross who is the Captain of the cheerleading squad and Emma's friend and Gwen- who is Lizzy's younger sister and Emma's competitor for the scholarship prize. As the book goes along, we can tell this is a case of the Breakfast Club meets One of Us is Lying with an all-female cast. Who killed Emma or is there a bigger story at play when another dead body and a strange blog turns up with clues that could lead to Emma's disappearance without a body - it can't be murder right? This was qu

Review: Wait For Me - Sara Shepard

Review: Wait for Me - Sara Shepard - November 2022 You know how we all have those favourite authors, the ones that no matter what they write or publish we will be bound and compelled to read it? One of the ones on my list is Sara Shepard. Years before Pretty Little Liars was even a twinkle in the TV producer's mind, I read the first couple of books and I was hooked. It became one of my favourite YA book series and so in everything that followed by this author, I have made it my goal to read. Some I enjoy, and others are a bit odd but still, I do read them. Wait for Me was one of those reads in the middle where it had a great premise but at the same time was a bit off and odd in parts. The book starts with a woman about to get married and then she is kidnapped. Then it jumps over to the present time and we meet Casey who is dating a wealthy guy called Marcus Coleman. Casey is a young, smart teen but she feels off when it comes to Marcus and so she disappears to a town called Avon
