One Big Little Secret: A Secret Baby Romance Nicole Snow Publication date: November 9th 2024 Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance One wild night and a surprise reunion sends a moody billionaire spinning into fatherhood in this heartwarming and steamy romance by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow. I guessed wrong. A little reckless fun with a stranger never hurts. A drunken one-night stand doesn’t leave you pregnant. A savage twist of fate won’t make your baby daddy your new boss. Bad luck can’t last forever—unless you’re me. Should we count the ways I’m cooked with Patton Rory? He rocks the grumpy gene, dialed up to eleven. He’s so handsome the mirror winks back and his bank account has its own zip code. He’s also totally oblivious— thank God. I’m not sure what he’ll be if he figures out the little boy who trashed his fancy building and ruined his favorite tie is his son. Maybe I’m becoming a human knot, but I won’t make the same mistake twice. If h...

Review: Wreck the Halls - Tessa Bailey

Review: Wreck the Halls - Tessa Bailey - October 2023 This particular book comes with a funny story as I ended up with two copies of the title - one from the amazing HarperCollins NZ and the other from The Book Shoppe Box as it happened to be this year's Christmas Book Box Book and what better day to read it than on Christmas Day which I did. I knew I would love it as I am a big fan of Tessa Bailey's books and her quirkiness and characters tend to always hit the spot for me. I had the added bonus with this one too as being part of the Book Shoppe Box, on specific pages, I had lovely little gifts to open making the reading experience just that little bit more memorable this Christmas season. The book starts with two sixteen-year-olds Melody and Beat being interviewed and then the book jumps to the present time in December when they are both now 30 years old - well Melody is almost 30 as she is two months younger than Beat. 30 years ago, their mothers Octavia and Trina were know...

Review: The Reunion - Kayla Olson

Review: The Reunion - Kayla Olson - January 2023 You know those moments when you want to read, but nothing seems to hit the spot and then all of a sudden you find a book that does it for you? That's how I felt with Kayla Olson's The Reunion. It also brought memories of various TV shows I have seen that have done reunion shows like 90210 Beverley Hills and Punky Brewster which I enjoyed as well as Girl Meets World. It also made me think of shows I loved when I was younger that a reunion show would be awesome like Sweet Valley High, Seventh Heaven, or Step By Step. In this book, it's been twenty years since the hit TV Show Girl on the Verge aired on television. After the show finished each of the cast went on to do their own thing also losing touch with one another. For Liv who played the female lead Honor, she lost her best friend Ransom who played the male lead Duke. The feelings though now being reunited as strong as ever as we watch the sparks and chemistry sizzle not o...

Review: The Only Survivors - Megan Miranda

Review: The Only Survivors - Megan Miranda - April 2023 Years ago, I read a couple of Megan Miranda's books and enjoyed them - though overall I do find this author a hit/miss for me. In The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda, we meet a group of classmates who were thrown together after a tragic accident that killed the majority of their classmates when two of the vans drove off the road - ten years ago.  Every year since the accident during the week of the accident - the survivors - there are now 7 of them get together as they made a pact never to talk about the accident and to check in with each other once a year. They stay at a beach house owned by survivor Oliver King.  The tenth anniversary though won't be like others as now there are two dead - Clara and Ian, Amaya is missing after she storms out and Cassidy can't help but think that the group is hiding secrets especially since she was lured to the beach house by a random text message. Who wants the whole group there an...

VBT# The Christmas Party - Mikayla Davids

Review: The Christmas Party - Christmas Series #1 - Mikayla Davids - November 2022 Ten years ago, an accident happened and it caused a major rift in the Bailey Family with the middle daughter not contacting her family for ten years. Now ten years later, the middle daughter wants to be reunited with her family and has some other plans up her sleeve for the evening. Ten years on, Erin has done well for herself by marrying up and securing her future by having two children with her husband. It's their annual Christmas Party and this time, Erin has sent invitations to her mother Nadia, her sister Leah and her sister Sasha and her husband Jesse. Nadia and Leah are looking forward to the reunion but older sister Sasha isn't convinced and I have to admit I hated her character as she was a wet blanket kind of character and needed to get over herself as if anyone should be hurt still and angry it would be Leah as she was the one scarred forever by that fateful evening or Nadia who fou...
