VBT# Shadow Crow of the Rocky Mountains - Book #2 Willow Ranch Series - Natascha Birovljev - March 2023 One of my favourite things about this series is that the cover art is so beautiful and gives off a feeling of stillness and a little ominous at the same time, though I think it is more leaned towards the stance of peacefulness that you get when you think of living in the mountains or the case of our characters in the Willow Ranch series - the Rocky Mountains of Canada.  Book #2 picks up where Book #1 Shadow Horses of the Rocky Mountains finished with Lyla and Chuck's relationship. Book #2 focuses more on their relationship dynamics as they both still are finding their feet in their new lives with Lyla at Willow Ranch and Chuck being torn between the city and his job as a fur trapper. Review: Shadow Horses of the Rocky Mountains - Book #1 Willow Ranch Series - June 2017 This book captured me first with the cover as it seemed like a poignant story and it also reminded me of Nicholas Evan's The Horse Whisperer which I enjoyed. As a child, I was a big fan of horse books like Pony Pals and Saddle Club.  Shadow Horses of the Rocky Mountains is a sweet family saga set in the Canadian Mountains. The book is set when brother and sister Lyla and Lee get a phone call from their Aunty, to say that their father is dying. The girls decide despite their history to the family ranch, a place that neither of them has stepped on in the last fourteen years. During their time back the girls will have their ups and downs as they discover dark family secrets, romance, adventure, and more so renewed their love for one another and learned what it is to be a family unit.
