Review: Man Buns - Book #4 Man Cave Series - Shari J. Ryan - July 2018 First off, each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone as reading Man Buns ; there was no indication that it was part of a series. The book starts off with Denver trying to recruit for the Marines and then fast forwards to his last day as a Marine. Denver then moves to Maui with his daughter as he has his best friend from the Marines awaiting him with a house and a job. Things though start off a bit rocky as the house has squatters and the job requires him to wear no t-shirt and short tight shorts as a waiter for his friend's new restaurant "Man Buns" - the guy version of Hooters. During this book too, Denver meets Kai. Kai had had a hard upbringing as she was forced to grow up quickly when her parents died in an accident, and she had to look after her little sister.
