Review: His Soul to Keep - Book #1 Frankie Dawson PI - Melinda Woodhall - November 2022 I am a big fan of Melinda Woodhall's series as I have read and completed almost four of her series and so when I saw that Frankie Dawson who I had met in her other books was getting his spin-off, there was no doubt about that I was going to read it. In this book, Frankie Dawson's marriage is on the rocks and he has just gotten a phone call and email to say an old friend Dwight is dying and hasn't got long left. Frankie heads to his hometown and is too late as he finds that Dwight and Cheryl have been murdered. He ends up being narrowed on as the main suspect, but of course, the only one who knows the truth is Josie- Dwight and Cheryl's daughter and she is being hunted too. Can Frankie protect them both and discover what is happening as he soon finds himself right in the middle of a decades-long serial killer known as The Wolf Creek Killer murder spree. The killer also connects to Fra...

Review: The Soulmate - Rona Halsall - January 2025 Reaching my first reading goal milestone with The Soulmate by Rona Halsall felt fitting—this psychological thriller delivers a chilling and engrossing read that lingers in your mind long after the final page. If you’re a fan of UK thrillers with a slow to medium pace, this one is worth adding to your TBR list. Review: Cold Fury - Book #4 Cold Justice -Most Wanted Series - Toni Anderson - May 2024 As I was reading this book, I kept feeling like I had read this story before, but then I had a good look around Goodreads and I hadn't. The reason was that it was very much along the same lines as books by Abbie Roads and written in a very similar style. The books that are romantic suspense and published by Kensington Press - have that feeling of not being quite cozy, but not quite a thriller. More romantic suspense feeling. In this book, we start with a lawyer who has just helped through a loophole to get an accused serial killer off -Julian Leech. When she arrives home and finds her husband and daughter murdered and killed in Julian's style. He is immediately arrested and sentenced to prison time. Years later he is being transferred and their prison convoy crashes, Julian is one of the prisoners that has managed to escape and is determined to get revenge on those who put him back into pr...
