Review: Sweet Valley High - Book #1- Academic All-Star ? - Various Authors - July 2019 Growing up the Sweet Valley High series was one of my favorite series for Paula aged 10-13 years old. The series was amazing, as I enjoyed the TV Series, the books and I even had the board game. Elizabeth Wakefield was also one of my literary icons. The twin was perfect as she had the grades, volunteered, and was a newspaper reporter for the school paper. I so wanted to be her. In Academic All-Star, these three authors have turned the Sweet Valley High series into a graphic novel. This was fun reading as it brought me great flashbacks and memories. In this graphic novel, we have Jessica who has fallen head over heels with her Summer School English tutor who is also married, she starts a faux-romance on Instagram and tells her friends big tales of their adventures.
