Review: She Died Famous - Kyle Rutkin - July 2019 This was an interesting read as I opened it and was presented with a book that was written in different forms as it had blog posts, magazine articles, and interviews as well as police interrogation. It also had a book within a book situation going on as the lines between reality blurred with fiction and in the end, readers are left wondering what is happening and what is fact and what is fiction. The book also creates a narrative that leads the reader to discover the truth about what happened. She Died Famous starts with a blog post from author Kaleb Reed talking about how he is the prime suspect in the murder of Singer and Child Actress Kelly Trozzo and her manager Barry. The book then jumps back to Kelly tweeting about Kaleb's book Pay Me Back Alice and talks about their first meeting and how both their lives become intertwined. It was a crazy chaotic relationship, some called it a fairytale romance as Kaleb's book saved Kel...

The Haunting in Connecticut:

The Haunting in Connecticut: Growing up, I have always loved horror movies as it was a way for my dad and I was able to just the two of us bond. We would have father/daughter dates to the movies and watch horror/supernatural movies as my mum was a bit of a wimp when it came to scary movies. One of those films we watched together in 2009, was The Haunting in Connecticut. The Haunting in Connecticut was loosely based on another family that had hired the famous Ed and Lorraine Warren to help them with what they were experiencing. Fifteen years after the haunting of the Perron Family, another family known as the Snedeker family moved into a house in Southington,...

Review: Raising Jennifer Lawrence as Molly Brown - Bonnie Brown - September 2019 This book was a #freebie on Amazon and the title had captured my attention as the author claimed that the actress we know as Jennifer Lawrence was, in fact, her daughter Molly Brown who had been kidnapped when she was thirteen years old by Karen Lawrence who owned a horse training camp where Molly attended. Reading this book, at first I wondered how it could be allowed to be published with the defamation and accusations and why on earth did the Lawrences not put a stop to this farce? I figured anyway as I do love my mystery to give it a read. However the title was misleading to say nonetheless as the book is a memoir of Bonnie's life from the number of men she dated and slept with - there was a LOT to her childhood and jobs. It came across as an "It's all about Me" type book and I will just chuck the JLaw reference in it, to sell more titles and get the fifteen minutes of ...
