Review: Lumberjanes #Volume 14 - X Marks the Spot - Various Authors - May 2020 I have to admit, like Volume #13 this wasn't a favorite but still, I did enjoy it as it went more into Greek mythology and we saw the girls banded back together and working as a full team which I had missed in Indoor Recess. In Volume #14 the girls are searching for Ripley's swimsuit when they find a map under her bed among all of her candy. The girls thinking it is a treasure map, head off on their journey. Throughout the treasure hunt, they find pieces of a statue broken which of course Ripley sticks together with her pink crafting glue and what comes to life is an evil Greek Goddess who feeds off the energy of others and magical beings. She ends up kidnapping Ripley and the magical cats, though of course as we know, no-one is a match for Ripley as she is so active and a whole different league than the average person. Out of all the characters of Lumberjanes, Ripley has always be...

Review: Pink Lock Picks and Sequined Witch Hats - Carla Rehse - July 2017 Something that I have enjoyed reading is about witches and after reading the Mystic Willow Bay series by Jessica Sorensen, I was feeling in the mood to read about another witch, and this title sounded fun. It took a different twist than I thought it would. Gracie is a teenage girl who is very resourceful and is trying to impress her former step-brother, Ben. She has a Clueless relationship going on there. Think Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd. When she tries to break into a building, though things backfire and go cray-cray as she finds herself accidentally imprinted and bonded with Asher who turns out to be a teen witch. Asher was in the same building doing a spell to find out what had happened to his older brother Ryder when Gracie turned up and disturbed the spell. Now Asher along with his twin sister Willow must try to break his bond with Gracie and along the way find out what h...

Review: I'd Rather Be A Witch - Erin Hayes

Review: I'd Rather Be A Witch - Book #2 The Cotton Candy Quintet - Erin Hayes - October 2015 I was in the mood for something fun the other day and remembered that I had some books by Erin Hayes, and this one captured my attention while browsing through my Kindle. First off, I have to say not only do I love the title. I have a cover crush on this book, and my hair is similar but more fuschia shade than the girl on the cover. In I'd Rather be A Witch, we meet Jordyn. She comes from a long line of witches and powerful ones at that; she was always treated as a freak except by her friend who later became a boyfriend, Zach. On the night of their prom, they were driving home and was hit by another car. Zach would have died that night if Jordyn hadn't saved his life using magic. The thing is though that by saving Zach, not all of his personality came back and he started to become obsessed with Jordyn. The only way to lessen the curse was to move ...
