Review: Sable Peak - Book #6 The Edens - Devney Perry - December 2023 This review is a bittersweet one as it comes to the end of the Eden series, besides the last two novellas I have to read.  I have enjoyed this series overall as I do love reading family sagas where each of the books are based on one of the members of the family and it's great too if the family is a "big one" as it means more books for the readers. In the Eden family, we have one more child left - their youngest son Matteo. At the end of the previous book, which was Lyla and Vance's story - Crimson River, we meet Vera Gallagher who was the daughter of Cormac - the guy who attacked Lyla and who Vance thought was dead and murdered along with her other sisters and mother.  In the past months, after Cormac disappeared and Vera stayed behind to try and get a normal life built for her,  she had been living with Lyla and Vance. Now though, she has moved into the loft of one of the other Edens. When Vera fir...

Romeo Sybil Bartel Publication date: February 22nd 2022 Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense Pilot. Aviator. Marine. My first memory was in the cockpit of a plane. My second was of a uniform. All I’d ever wanted was to be a pilot. The Marines gave me wings and I gave them my all. Half a dozen deployments, countless flight hours—I knew the controls in the cockpit better than I knew my own name. I never made mistakes. But war didn’t care how good you were. One surface-to-air missile and my career was over. Thinking I’d left dangerous missions and adrenaline rushes in my rearview, I was piloting a seaplane in the Florida Keys when a beat to hell, dark-eyed blonde washed ashore. In nothing but a bikini, she asked me for help. Help I couldn’t give without an assist from Alpha Elite Security. Except AES wanted a favor in return… one that would put me right back in the line of fire. Code name: Romeo. Mission: Rescue. ROMEO is a standalone book in the exciting Alpha Elite Series b...

Review: Cocky Captain - Ellie Masters

Review: Cocky Captain - #Cocky Hero Club Series - Ellie Masters - May 2020 Taking a break from the series Cocky Bastard, we move to the world of Mister Moneybags by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. Cocky Captain features Dex and Bianca from that series but focuses on their private pilots. Dex and Bianca Truitt are on their way to the Caymans for a holiday and flying their plane are Angel and Logan. Angel is one of those female pilots who takes no crap from anybody and Logan is one of those guys who knows he is all that and more aka our Cocky Captain. I have to admit while reading this, I imagined our lead characters having the same personalities and chemistry as Kenzie Bly and Marty Deeks from NCIS LA as I have been currently bingeing the series during the lockdown with Angel being the serious one and trying hard to be a tough female as she is in a dominant male world and Logan being the cocky and cheeky Captain. He also looks like he would be the "fun" one i...

Review: Cocksure Ace - #Cocky Hero Club Series - K.Webster - May 2020 Spinning off from the Cocky series by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland is a series called the Cocky Hero Club in which several authors are writing books set in the world or with familiar characteristics. In Cocksure Ace, we first meet Sheridan Reid who is one of those uptight boss babe type females whom you can tell has walls up and has been handed everything she has ever wanted in her life. She is her daddy's little princess and her father would do anything for her. Sheridan is on her way to Costa Rica to help celebrate her father's new marriage and hopefully, this will be the week that David will proclaim his love just for her and the pair can finally become a "power couple" and enjoy a real romance. Her flight is a tad delayed and we meet Captain Camilo Z aka CZ who is, of course, our cocky hero, and the pair clash so hard that sparks are flying off the pages. CZ has finally m...
