Review: The Reappearance of Rachel Price - Holly Jackson - April 2024 Bel is turning 18 this year and can't wait to escape the small town as her whole life has been overshadowed by an event that happened when she was two years old. Sixteen years ago, Bel was found in a car on the side of the road and her mum Rachel had vanished. Her Dad went to prison, but then was found Not Guilty and it has just been the two of them. Bel doesn't even remember her mum at all. Now Sixteen years later, a documentary is being made about her mum and it has brought up a lot of emotions. For Bel, it should make her happy to chat about her mum but the only emotion she feels is anger. I have to admit I didn't enjoy Bel's character in this book as she does come across as a spoilt brat right the way through and it was so irritating.
