Review: The Other Side of Envy - Book #8 The Academy - Ghost Bird Series - C.L Stone - April 2015 When it comes to The Academy books, I am always forever in two minds. Part of me loves them and the characters in the books, but the other half of me gets so frustrated with them at the same time. So much that I want to scream and tell them all to talk or at least grow up. The Other Side of Envy was one of the most frustrating ones that I have read so far in The Academy series as it was like seriously Sang, stop playing games and set the boys including Mr. Blackbourne and Dr. Green and simply tell them all at the same time what you want. Use your words, tell them I Love You all and want to be all of your girlfriends and seriously if you love me too, then get over your freaking jealousy and be with me. In this book, Gabriel annoyed me as his jealousy was radiating off the pages and Kota seriously needs to remove the stick as he is so damn uptight. It...

Review: House of Korba - Book #7 The Academy Series - C.L Stone - October 2014 Have you ever read a series that you have a love/hate relationship with? For me, that series is The Academy by C.L Stone. It is one of those series where I can't read them all back to back as I will get all frustrated but they are also a series I find that I can't put down though sometimes I want too. House of Korba is Book #7 and gives us readers a further look into the Korba family which for those who are unaware is Silas's family. We learn how he came to be in the Academy and what favors were pulled to get his family away from Greece. Like many families, the Korba's have a few skeletons in their closets, and if they aren't careful, it looks like one major one will be exposed to the world. Sang is still bouncing between the boys and though looks like Silas is not afraid to go for what he wants. Like all of the CL Stone The Academy books, I do like the boys but Sang ...

Review: Drop of Doubt - The Academy - Book #5 The Ghost Bird Series - C.L Stone - January 2014 After reading Book #4 and being a bit disappointed as the book started to frustrate me like crazy, I was a little cautious about going into Drop of Doubt. Drop of Doubt, however, was amazing and one of the most intense books so far for The Ghost Bird Series . Drop of Doubt starts off with a fire alarm and then a bomb threat. The bomb threat is left in the room where Blackbourn and Sang were to be and then we discover someone is stalking Sang. It looks like they either want to get rid of her or save her, but one thing is for absolute certain they want Sang away from the Academy boys. From stalking "A" type texts to photographs with threats scrawled over Drop of Doubt was suspenseful. The other thing I loved about Drop of Doubt was that we got to see Dr. Green aka Sean in his element at the hospital as well as affection towards Sang from Blackbourne aka Owen. We...
