So when I saw she had one come up on tour, I knew I had to read it. Also, I was tempted due to the Artists' side as I love books that contain Art, etc. In Where Birds Fly, we first meet our main characters O and Cray at an Art Show that is showing Cray aka Douglas Craven's work.  O is only 12 years old but from that first meeting of Cray, she had a childhood crush on the artist and as she got older - the crush remained and she couldn't wait for her 18th birthday when finally she could legally give herself to him as she would no longer be underage. However, her dreams and reality are further apart than she realizes as Cray has changed and he now has a son who has arrived that happens to be O's age.
