Starting with Rowdy Boy by Clarissa Wild. This book connects to her characters Nate and Sam from Cruel Boy. In Rowdy Boy, we meet Monica who suffered an attack at her old school and so needs a new fresh start, her mother after hearing from her cousin Arianne Romero that Black Mountain Academy is a safe school. When Monica arrives, she is captivated by Cole Travis - a musician at the school and lead singer in a band called TRIGGER. Her cousin warns her against Cole as he is a player. We see quite a lot through the book, Monica edging towards Cole and her cousin constantly warning her. We also see her cousin at war with Cole and learn that they have a history where Arianne claims that Cole cheated on her and now she wants revenge - the age-old story of "if I can't have him, then no one will".
