Review: Sia - Josh Grayson - November 2013 I wasn't sure what to expect as I opened this book, as the readers of my blog and reviews will know that for 2020 - I decided to make it a goal to try and clear some of my old books off my devices as like this particular one - I have books on them from as far back as 2011 ish. It's the age-old case of you get a book and then another and soon every book in your TBR pile has been pushed further and further down the list and eventually forgotten, that is until something sparks and you decide to go back. That was me with Sia and OMG, I don't know what took me so long to read this book as it was amazing. If you are like me and love the amnesia trope then you will love Sia by Josh Grayson. The novel starts with our main character sitting on a park bench and she has no idea who she is - all she has on her is an iPod with the words "Sia's playlist" - so she assumes that means she is "Sia". Review: What You Hide - Natalie D. Richards - December 2018 I have to admit I was looking forward to this book as was in the mood for a suspense novel, and I had loved her previous books, and with a cover like this one, it had a feeling it would be creepy. Unfortunately, it wasn't , we had several storylines running from Spencer who is doing community service at the library and trying to escape his life and find a new path as he knows what is expected of him, but it feels strange. Mallory had a great life until her mother met a new man and he became controlling and worse now is that Mallory's mother is pregnant. Mallory has tried to get her mum to leave, but she keeps making excuses, and Mallory has had enough and now would rather risk being homeless than having to spend more than one more second in the house. Review: The Good Samaritan - RC Boldt - September 2018 This book had been sitting on my kindle for a few weeks and had been drawing me in, I was a little hesitant as the only books I had read by RC Boldt had been romantic comedies, and this was her writing in the opposite direction. This one had a bit more o omph and guts to it. It had drawn me in though from the excellent cover to the whole idea of someone being anonymous and doing good deeds. In my mind, the main character Jude looked a little like Jack Reacher ( Lee Child's) role as they seem to have a similar upbringing and past and like Jack - Jude has no bank account, the clothes on his back and little belongings. To the outside world, Jude looks like a homeless guy but to Faith - he becomes her world and her attraction as there is something about him that she can't shake. It's like he's her protector.
