Review: Escape - Book #3 Billy Harney Series - James Patterson and David Ellis - June 2022 Readers of The Phantom Paragrapher and my book reviews will know that James Patterson is one of those authors, no matter what is released and contains his name I will give it a go. Sometimes the books are duds and sometimes they surprise me. I had read a couple of his books with David Ellis and they tend to be average reads but still adventurous. In Escape, which is Book 3 of the Billy Harney series it starts with a van chase as Billy and his partner are following a kidnapper in his van. The same kidnapper who has killed four previous females, made a mistake though as he picked one who had a family looking for her, these cocky killers make rookie mistakes. Review: The Neighbour - Gemma Rogers - January 2023 Shelley and her daughter Lauren have finally moved away from her mother's cottage after a crazy last couple of years. They are hoping that this small community will be their new fresh start as for the past couple of years Shelley was the caretaker for her mother who had dementia. The thing though is that she gets off with her next-door neighbour on the wrong foot as it turns out she isn't exactly warm to her dog Teddy and soon crazy things start happening to cause both PTSD reactions for Shelley and especially her daughter Lauren. Review: Doc Showmance - Zoe Forward- January 2023 After reading a lot of thrillers and a few children's books, I needed something light and funny to break up the reading feelings. Doc Showmance was one of those laugh-out-loud romantic comedies with a geeky side to it. You know the ones where the female or male are into their careers and blunt and don't fit into anyone's boxes. I loved the main female of this book and clicked with her straight away. Doc Showmance introduces us to Amber who is busy working her residency as an emergency vet. The vet clinic also happens to currently be part of a reality TV show which Amber isn't keen on but the money helps pay the bills as she is the main breadwinner for her house of misfits which includes three of her foster siblings - Bruno who is studying to be a lawyer, Marino - the trouble one who is a gambling addict and Joley - a sexy ex-stripper now studying to be a dental hygienist.
