Review: Her Final Confession - Book #4 Detective Josie Quinn - Lisa Regan - November 2018 One of the things I love about being a book reader is that I can donate my books to the second-hand bookshop in Tauranga - Xanadu and then as a bonus get credit to grab new second-hand titles that sound like they could be up my alley.  I had seen a few of Lisa Regan's on Netgalley and read a couple of her thrillers, so was excited to see one of her titles on the shelves at Xanadu. This book was one I picked up after my first title was a DNF and wow, this one moved so quickly and I was surprised at how fast I managed to read it. The book starts in Portland in 1993 where we see Billy meet biker Lincoln Shore and then the book jumps to the present time where Josie and her partner have been called to a crime scene where a young man is dead and a twist - the house belongs to Detective Gretchen Palmer; someone they can't seem to get a hold of. Review: Vanishing Girls - Book #1 Detective Josie Quinn Series - Lisa Regan - January 2018 Vanishing Girls starts with a bang as a little girl knows she is being stalked in the woods, the thing though is that no one believes her until one day she is taken. The book then jumps to the present and we meet Detective Josie Quinn who is currently on suspension from the force for using excessive force. While at a gas station, she not only learns that Isabelle Coleman is missing but she witnesses a shooting and a car crash. One of the victims is a teacher that Josie recognizes and as he dies in her arms, he says one word "Ramona".  All Josie has ever wanted and knows is being a police officer, for her, it is her whole world and sadly an obsession. Not one to stand back, she finds herself doing her investigations and soon starts to unravel other missing girls and finding herself at other crime scenes.
