Needing a fresh start, Aria and her mum move away to her Uncle Merv's house in Eastmont. This includes changing her surname to her mum's maiden name and starting a new school. Here Aria can reinvent herself and make some new friends including the Hartford family next door which includes Cassie who has Autism and Emmett. These three become fast friends as Aria finds herself settling into a routine she loves Cassie's friendship as she is like the little sister she never had and Emmett is a hottie. The downside though is that Emmett has a girlfriend named Holly. Holly is exactly the type of person Aria used to be at her old school and what happens when Aria stands up to Holly and it backfires as Holly is not going to take losing her status of Emmett...
