Review: The Boyfriend Candidate - Book #2 Fool Me Once Series - Ashley Winstead - May 2023 You know that feeling when you find a book that you want to shout from the rooftops that everyone has to read, that was The Boyfriend Candidate by Ashley Winstead for me. I thought Fool Me Once was a good read, but this one topped that book and has now made it on my list of must-reads for 2023. The book starts with us meeting Alexis Stone - she is the younger sister of Lee Stone who was in Fool Me Once and does make several appearances in this book including the famous Captain Planet costume. Of course, she didn't expect it to be potentially with a politician and to end with her picture in the paper. Logan Adams is running for senator and needs to present a w

Review: Secrets So Deep - Ginny Myers Sain - September 2022   This particular book I wasn't sure what it was actually about, but the cover and the title drew me in. So I got it out on the Libby library app to give a read and it surprised me with its twists and turns. The book is set in a small beach town called Whisper Beach where it is rumored that the ghosts of the ocean whisper to those alive to come into the water and when they do, they are sucked down to the bottom never to return or if they do return - they are dead from drowning. Years ago Avril's mother drowned at this very beach and she almost did but was saved before her time was up. Looking through her mother's things she finds an old photo of her mother Nicole with now famous playwright Willa. Willa runs a summer theatre camp at Whisper Beach and Avril has gotten in as she inherited her mother's acting skills. Avril is determined to not only learn more about her mother but what happened that fateful night
