Review: Stepping Stones - Book #1 Stone Series - Kacey Vanderkarr - August 2015 Have you ever read a book that you found to be really weird and just plain confusing ? That to me was the entirety of Stepping Stones. It started out normal with Onnaleigh's parents announcing that they were getting a divorce and her headed to a local shop where she spots a hot guy and then rushing to tell her best friend Hunter about said guy and the divorce as that's what teen girls do. Then of course the hot guy starts at Onnaleigh's school and everyone loves him, which again makes sense and he only has eyes for Onnaleigh which makes the readers swoon as we are used to reading books like this and then wham bam this is where the book starts to get really odd as her older brother Caleb and fiancee Cora are on their way home to celebrate the news when an accident occurs and Onna and Everett - the new guy just happen to come across the scene.   Review: Shades of Blue - Anthology - Various Authors - September 2015 For those readers who are familiar with my reviews, they will know that I often like to read the "edgy" stuff and one of those topics that I do find fascinating is mental health. Suicide is a topic, that is often still viewed as taboo but unfortunately we all know at least someone whether it be a close friend , relative , sibling or a friend of a friend who has committed suicide.  For me , my best friend Daniel committed suicide when he was 18. When I was about that age to even now sometimes my mind has wandered to whether I should cross that line.
