Review: Storm - Book #1 Elementals - Brigid Kemmerer- April 2012

Feeling helpless and sick of being the victim, Becca Chandler decided to attend self-defense classes. However what she didn't count on is that after her first class , she would have to save someone from a fight. Not just anyone as well ,  but the youngest of the Merrick Brothers - Chris. Now the Merrick Brothers are quite special as each of them can control an element and Chris is Water which Becca will soon discover. However, now that Becca has been labelled as a "friend" of Chris's she can't keep up the invisibility shield as she has found herself a target. A Target for what you may ask ? Becca has found herself bang smack in the middle of a turf war between the Elementals and the Guides. Can Becca distance herself from Chris or does she feel drawn to save him as she did the animals when she was younger ? What will happen though when Becca also attracts the attention of newcomer Hunter , which guy will she choose and the big surprise to read is to find out how Becca herself fits with the Elementals and the Guides.
This is one series that I am looking forward to continuing and finding out about the other brothers especially Nick whom is a new addition to my  book boyfriend list.

Review: Snakes and Ladders - Sean Slater

It's time for serial killer time to strike again with Sean Slater's new Detective Jacob Striker novel out titled with the same name as a popular children's game "Snakes and Ladders". Review: Snakes and Ladders - Detective Jacob Striker Book #2 - Sean Slater - March 2012 It's amazing how much a cover can get you to read a book and then you discover, well I actually like this author as I picked up Sean Slater's first book "The Survivor" due to the fact that the cover had a hockey mask and reminded me of Friday the 13th and I really enjoyed the novel as well as the fact it was a school shooting which for some reason I enjoy reading about as it fascinates me ( just to add - I'm not pyschotic LOL) .
