Review: Damaged - Book #3 Bullied Series - Vera Hollins - August 2020 Continuing in the Bullied series by Vera Hollins, at the end of Book #2 - Pained we read as Hayden ended up being hit by a car just outside the hospital and we wondered for Sarah whether it was going to be a repeat of what happened to Hayden's twin brother Kayden. We also learn that ever since the incident with Brad - her mum's ex-boyfriend Patricia ( Sarah's mum) has started to resent her more than ever and their relationship is becoming more and more strained. If it wasn't for Carmen - Hayden's mother, then it looks like Sarah would collapse with all the stress. The first half of the book has Hayden still in a coma and Sarah reading his diary and getting counseling on how to deal with someone who has BPD. A little extra something we learned from the author that the first three books which are Sarah and Hayden's story spell the Initials BPD - Bullied, Pained and Damaged - Clever right?. In the second half of this book, we read as Hayden and Sarah try to move forward but when they take one step forward, it's like Hayden's BPD wants to put a stop to their happiness and they move two steps backward. We also saw more interaction between Blake and Jessica and Mel and Masen. I can't wait for Book #4 which is Blake and Jess's story as I want to know why Blake hates Jess so much and then Book #5 will be Mel and Masen's who are perfect for each other as they both give each other what the other takes.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
