Review: The Saved and the Sorry - Book #2 Kingston City Limits - T. Marie Alexander - June 2020 This book I have had sitting on my Kindle for a while now as I read the first one a few years back - Christmas Eve, 2019 - almost four years ago. In the first one The Lost and the Scarred, we read our Roxie came to meet Wran and his brother Josh and about her evil father James. Roxie also managed to get pregnant at 15 to Wran and her baby Harley was uplifted and Josh had sent Wran away so he wouldn't get into trouble as there is an age gap between them. Now in Book #2, Wran is back in Roxie's life and she is also trying to be normal and attend school. The thing though is that Wran and Roxie together, no matter how much they love each other and would die for one another - the pairing is toxic with a capital T as they are two co-dependant on each other and if Roxie is going get custody of her daughter back then she has to get her head screwed on and follow the rules which she can'...

Review: The Art of Kissing - Jessica Sorensen

Review: The Art of Kissing - Book #2 The Art of Being Friends - Jessica Sorensen - July 2021 Why do I punish myself haha with Jessica Sorensen's books? I love her books as they are always great to read, edgy enough to keep you intrigued and they are good writing but the downside is that most of the series never actually finishes. It is like I have you hooked now, and I will end this book on a cliffhanger and I'll start writing the next book and then oops I got distracted by another series and story idea, so I am going to write that and come back this one but as the time goes on, hey I have forgotten about that series I was supposed to finish. Never mind, let us move on as that is the past. But hey, there are readers like myself who start the series and we never get the conclusions as we want to read them. I find Jessica Sorensen and Scarlett Haven another one they are authors that I would call "messy ones" as they start series and very rarely finish them. Like t...

Review: Playing with Fire -#Book 0 - Prequel - Kiki Swinson - November 2021 Scrolling through my kindle often I end up going into books blind as I have so many on there and I can't remember what they are about, just that they must have sounded good at the time when I originally got them. Some have been misses, but others hit. Playing with Fire by Kiki Swinson is a prequel to a Duology that she released. I haven't read any books by this author before but I am now interested in checking out the duology as I would love to see this character in the present time and see what her life is like now and how her past and what she went through in this book impacted her. In Playing with Fire, our main character Yoshi Lomax is studying Political Science and knows her way around the law. She is a college student and has her fair share of drinking and partying and doing drugs with her roomies. That is until one year over break, a domino effect of incidents will change Yoshi's life for g...
