Molly's Millions - Victoria Connelly -2009

Think back to all those Lotto and Big Wednesday Ads and who remembers the slogan "What would you do if you won ................ dollars ?" . Would you be a wise spender and save it all and only spend what was nessecary, would you splurge it all and go all confessions of a shopahoilc on us and then join Shopaholics Anonymous along with Becky Bloomwood or would you put aside some for yourself , just enough to make a comfortable life and then give the rest to charities and those in need.
If you choose the last option , now you are presented with two choices , A) Would you want recognition or anything in return or B) Would you prefer to go anoymous and be incognito - The Phantom Charitier".

In today's book review we are presented with Molly Bailey whom has won over four million dollars and as we read we discover what exactly is Molly going to do with her newfound win of the lottery. Molly's Millions by Victoria Connelly is described by Author Lisa Jewell - Author of 31 Dream Street and After the Party describes her book as 'Sunshine on a rainy day , A Charmingly written slice of warm-hearted escapism".

Molly's Millions - Victoria Connelly -2009

Florist Molly Bailey has just discovered she's won 4.2 million pounds on the lottery. But since her grandfather, father and brother's attitude to money would make Scrooge look generous, Molly realises she can't let them get their hands on her winnings. Instead she decides to give most of it away to people in need. So she takes off on a journey across Britain, leaving behind bundles of 50 pound notes and yellow gerberas. Meanwhile small-time reporter Tom Mackenzie realises he may be on to the story of a lifetime, and with his young daughter Flora, takes off after the mysterious benefactor. When he realises Molly is his woman (far too quickly in my mind), the story soon puts Tom and Molly on the front pages and sets the grumpy Bailey boys on to her trail too. Perfect for days when you need a feel-good story that won't tax the brain cells.
