Review: One Good Reason - Erin Lee - September 2016 Erin Lee's "One Good Reason" emerges as a powerful therapy tool and companion journal, intricately woven to complement her novel, "When I'm Dead." Targeted at victims of sexual abuse, as well as those navigating the journey of self-discovery, this companion journal transcends its pages, offering solace and empowerment to readers seeking healing. This companion journal, standing at 122 pages, serves as a valuable therapeutic resource. Drawing from her background as a trained therapist, Lee incorporates narrative therapy prompts designed to guide victims through the process of rewriting their own narratives. "One Good Reason" becomes a transformative tool for readers, facilitating their transition from victimhood to survivorship and, ultimately, thriving. Review: The Silent Friend - Diane Jeffrey - November 2020 This book drew me in with the cover of the two women, despite how many times I try not to be a cover judger - I really do get drawn in by beautiful covers and sometimes the books are duds, or other times like The Silent Friend, they are a good read. This book starts with four friends who are librarians which I loved and they all love the same music. They decide to plan a trip to Lyon, France to see the sights and listen to their favorite Irish band play in concert. However, the trip will be one that Laura will never forget, and in a bad way too as that one night changed her forever. On the night of the concert, the hall was stormed by four terrorists who decided to shoot up the event. Laura and one of her other friends survived, the other two died. Laura always wonders why she managed to survive when her best friends didn't. To try and move on, Laura finds a message board that has posts of other victims and family members ...

Review: Her Daughter's Mother - Daniela Petrova - June 2019 This has been a thriller that had been sitting on my amazon Wishlist for a while now as not only did the cover look amazing, the book sounded good too. In this book, the stalker will become the stalked, or is it the other way around as Her Daughter's Mother takes us on a whirlwind ride. In the beginning, we meet Lana Stone whose dream is to become a mother and after many failed IVF treatments and miscarriages, her dream is fading fast. That is until she gets another chance with their last transfer - the eggs belong to a young Bulgarian woman named Katya as Lana wanted someone with the same roots as her mother. Just before the transfer though. Lana's world is upended as her partner Tyler of eight years decides to move out and gives her the excuse that they need space and time apart. Lana goes for the treatment without telling Tyler and ends up pregnant. On one of her appointments, she runs into Katya and the pair...

One of the go-to authors that I have always loved her books and I know that I will read and enjoy them is Jessica Sorensen. She is one of the OG NA authors before the market became saturated. At the end of Book #1, we read as Felix - Ayden's older brother was killed and now in Book #2, the police are eager to get Ayden's help and to find the cult that they believe is involved. The thing is though that Ayden has blocked those memories tight away and has amnesia from that time. The police suggested hypnotherapy and now his memories are causing issues of sleepwalking and panic attacks. Lyric Scott, is in love with her best friend Ayden and wants to be there for him ...
