Review: Storm Front - Jim Butcher

Today's review is a book that I read a long time ago but recently I was able to obtain a copy of the TV Series "The Dresden Files". So I've decided to do what any true reader would do and go back to the beginning and read the Dresden Files Books in order , so today's review is Book #1 - Storm Front.

Storm Front (The Dresden Files, Book 1)
Review: Storm Front - The Dresden Files Book #1 - Jim Butcher- April 2000
Meet the man behind The Dresden Files or in this case I should say Wizard. Harry Dresden is a Wizard working as a Private Investigator and consultant with the Chicago Police , he helps solve the crimes that no-one else can explain , all the magical doings of deaths and those supernatural phenomenons and creatures like demons. He lives with his black familar Cat Mister and Bob - a 200 yr old spirit that lives in a human skull. In Storm Front , we read as two cases start to intertwine. We read as Harry is called into a crime scene by Murph - a Homicide Cop on the Chicago PD Force. The crime scene is that two are dead and they seem to have been mutilated or in this case spontaneously combusted. It is the working of a powerful wizard and one dabbling in the black arts. The other case is a missing persons , Harry recieved a call from a woman named Monica whose husband Victor has gone missing and she thinks he's been dabbling in magic and witchcraft. As the novel goes along and Harry finds himself deeper into the cases , it seems that it's not only wizardly power involved but also Mafia , Vampires and Demons. If Harry doesn't solve this case fast , then he may very well be going to jail and having his magic stripped by the Witch Council or even worse executed as he starts to somehow look like the number one suspect. Read onto discover who is setting Harry up to fail and look guilty and why they want to get rid of Harry badly and also in Storm Front , discover what and how to trap a faery for yourself.
Stay Tuned as I bring on a later date , a review of Book #2 Fool Moon.
