Review : Fall of Night - Book #14 Morganville Vampires Series - Rachel Caine - May 2013
After spending the past years in Morganville after a decision that would change her life forever and open her up to a reality she had never imagined to be true, Claire had thought that the chance to leave would never open up to her as the Vampire residents in Morganville like to keep their secret closely guarded and don't take too nicely to outsiders. However, Claire has been given a special pass from Amelie The Founder of Morganville to attend her dream school M.I.T. which along with her advisor- a former resident of Morganville she will be able to work on a machine that she has been working with along with Myrin the past few years. However leaving Morganville for Claire means having to say Goodbye to all the friends she has made over the past few years including boyfriend Shane Collins, Michael Glass and his wife Eve along with her Vampire friends Myrin etc. Claire thought that once she left Morganville, life would be less dangerous - however what she forgot was that when people don't live in fear of Vampires, humans can be equally or more dangerous and someone out in the outside world is killing off not only Vampires but Humans. It seems though that Claire's friends can't stay away from her and they are ready to help as usual along with Myrin and Oliver - the vamps ? Will Claire return back to Morganville the same  person or will her short time away change her into what she should have been in the beginning ?
As like the previous few books , Fall of Night is told from multiple perspectives.
Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires is one of the few Paranormal series that I have been able to continue reading and still after 14 Books it is captivating and the ending of this book makes me want to read Book #15 as it's finally getting really exciting as readers start to wonder - is this the end of the Vampire reign in Morganville ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers.
