Review: Heartbeat - Faith Sullivan

Needing another New Adult book to read ?
Wanting something with a bit of a twist to it ?

Review: Heartbeat - Faith Sullivan - February 2013
Have you ever read a book and really gotten into it and then near the last chapter have had to flick back and make sure what you read was correct ? For me that was Heartbeat , right up to the last chapter I loved the story as I am a sucker for those Cinderella type tales. Girl - Katie  gets into a car crash , feels a connection for the ambulance driver- Adam , they have a brief and fleeting but long-lasting love connection.  Girl and Guy separate , Guy goes to lengths to find the number of the girl as he knows she is the one , Readers soon realise that Girl has a controlling and overbearing father , Guy rescues Girl from parenting situation , Guy and Girl face hard times and challenges , then overcomes them together knowing that their love is strong enough to overcome anything even the most hardest times. Girl and Guy live Happily ever after or in the case of Heartbeat without giving too much away - the reader is left with a wait-a-minute, what-the-hell just happened moment and the reader re-reads over the last chapter to make sure they haven't missed something crucial and when they haven't they close the book and are left sitting there speechless thinking WOW , I so did not see that ending coming. Heartbeat is a good story and I do think it is worth reading but I do have to say if you are someone who loves closure and rounded-off endings then this is by far definitely not the book for you. Heartbeat by Faith Sullivan is only getting 4Ps but if it wasn't for the way the book ended It would have recieved 5Ps.
