Review: When Audrey Met Alice - Rebecca Behrens

Review: When Audrey Met Alice - Rebecca Behrens - February 2014

If you are a fan of movies like myself, then you would have watched both of the above movies - I have numerous times and own them both on DVD. Reading Rebecca's book reminded me of the movies as her book is based on Audrey who is a First Daughter and living in the White House , in When Audrey Met Alice , her mum is the President of the USA and Audrey begins to feel restricted and lonely - so one day she heads off to search for hidden nooks and crannies and discovers a box filled with goodies. Upon further look and investigation , she discovers that the box belonged to Alice Roosevelt - the eldest daughter of the president Teddy Roosevelt back in 1906. Soon Audrey will start reading Alice's journal and with Alice's help find a way to express herself and finally get her parents to realise that she can't stay cooped up in the White House all her life.  This was a fun read and can be read from Ages 13+ .
