Review: Dear Tabitha - Trudy Stiles

Review: Dear Tabitha - Book #2 Forever Family Series - Trudy Stiles - March 2014

For all those who have read Book #1 in this series "Dear Emily" will know that Tabitha is Emily's mother and that she gave Emily up for adoption as she knew that she couldn't raise her by herself, it was a hard decision that she had to make but Tabitha did ensure that Emily went to an amazing home and her parents were great and continued to let Tabitha build a relationship with Emily. Dear Tabitha has a past and a present point of view. In the past we first see Tabitha's pre-relationship leading up to Emily's birth , from meeting Alex eight years ago to the current time. We also read about Alex's upbringing and the abuse he suffered at the hands of his Pop. The present is set two years after Emily's birth and the passing of Emily onto her adoptive parents. In Tabitha's story, we also learn about Sarah the daughter she was told she had been adopted and given away when she fell into a bad crowd and one mean guy in particular Tony who threatened to kill her. In present times, Tabitha has just recieved a letter from Tony's mother after all these years and what will be written inside the letter will turn Tabitha's life completely topsy-turvy and upside down. In Alex's story, we read about his abusive past and leading up to the time he first meet Tabitha, the time when he knew he was in love with her but of course Alex broke Tabitha's heart. Can he get Tabitha to forgive him ? In the present time , can Alex prove to Tabitha that she is his one and only and that no matter what obstacles that are chucked in their way, that he loves her so much he would do anything for her - even the possibility of having an instant family with her.
Dear Tabitha was another powerful read and that everyone who has ever gone through the adoption process or known the feeling of having someone they love ripped from their arms, or having a piece of them destroyed and eventually put back together will enjoy and find a moving tale.
