War at the Ice Cream Store: Mustachio Pistachio vs Bully Vanilli

Review: War at the Ice-Cream Store - Mustachio Pistachio Vs. Bully Vanilli - Cheryl DaVeiga and Dave Gisbon - January 2021

War at the Ice-Cream Store was another fabulous storybook by Cheryl DaVeiga and Dave Gibson. This book features characters at the ice cream store with Bully Vanilli who is the most popular flavour of ice cream. He loves to be a big bully and rule the Ice-cream roost, he acts like the King of the store and the best in the world. His favorite target though is poor Mustachio Pistachio, he is the least favorite flavour of ice cream and is always the target of King Bully Vanilli. What happens though when all the other flavours and toppings of ice cream decide enough is enough and revolt again the Vanilla ice cream? Soon he will realize that without the others, he is just another plain ice-cream flavour and that he needs to be nice to others to be happy and that being a bully is not the way to be, but being a friend indeed is the way to go. I loved this book as it was a very cute read and the humour in this one was very quick-witted and used lots of ice-cream/desert-related puns. War at the Ice-Cream Store was a very good picture book read and suitable for ages 3-6 years old.
