Review: Violet - SJI Holliday - September 2019 I didn't know anything about this book except that the cover grabbed me. It sounded intriguing and once I got started, I was sucked into a crazy ride that, to be honest, makes me never want to backpack across Europe, etc, or travel by myself ever or with strangers as you never know what anyone might be capable of. In this book, we meet Violet who has just been dumped by her boyfriend Sam, and Carrie whose friend Laura broke her leg and had to return home. The two end up meeting in the bar one evening and devise a plan to travel together. They hit it off and things seem to be going well, that is until one night with a shaman, etc then crazy things start to occur and we learn that Violet isn't who she said she was and the story unravels as we learn Violet's true identity and that Carrie's life might be in danger but has Violet finally meet her match with Carrie as two can play the game and there can only be one winner.
