Review: Ache - Book #5 Wish Series - Morgan Rice - October 2023 I was looking forward to this one, especially after the cliffhanger of Book #4 but was disappointed with how this one sort of played out. Instead of a happy sisterly reunion between Taylor and Jane, we got one who was happy as the girls are also finally reunited briefly with their father and the other was an angry soul that wanted nothing to do with this family as in her mind she was abandoned. We also see a different side to Taylor's stepmother as in the earlier books, she is rude and abusive towards Taylor but in this book, she welcomes Taylor and Isabella with open arms and assists in helping protect them on their journey to track down Taylor's father. I feel that the only thing that would have been more amazing with this book, is if we had been given glimpses of Taylor's mother. Review: Thirst - Book #4 Wish Series - Morgan Rice - July 2023 In Book #4 Taylor is dealing with the emotions and fallout of breaking the seal on her body as now her powers as a blood moon hybrid are developing and fast. She was given an ultimatum and ended up being locked down in the vaults, for the protection of her friends and the others at the camp. However, Taylor misses her friends and her life above, and being locked down here all by herself is causing her depression and she would rather the Director kill her than keep her down here as a prisoner. Even when her friends come to visit her, Taylor is a bag of rocks, and sad and depression follow her like a black cloud.
