Review: Thirst - Morgan Rice
Review: Thirst - Book #4 Wish Series - Morgan Rice - July 2023
In Book #4 Taylor is dealing with the emotions and fallout of breaking the seal on her body as now her powers as a blood moon hybrid are developing and fast. She was given an ultimatum and ended up being locked down in the vaults, for the protection of her friends and the others at the camp. However, Taylor misses her friends and her life above, and being locked down here all by herself is causing her depression and she would rather the Director kill her than keep her down here as a prisoner. Even when her friends come to visit her, Taylor is a bag of rocks, and sad and depression follow her like a black cloud. This book I was in two minds as it was like for goodness’ sake Taylor, snap out of it and grow up. Also, can't you see your friends were scared as well, but at least they are trying to make it up to you? In this book, the director introduces Taylor to an ancient warrior on the hidden sixth island who is ancient years old and is one of the only other people the Director can trust with a blood moon hybrid. Taylor will be pushed to the brink and through hell as she learns to control her powers. Can Taylor rein her powers in and learn control or will she lash out when pushed and prove to the rest of the world that she is as deadly as the other Blood Moon Hybrids that have come before? We also see that Isabel has a secret when her blood burns like acid during the attack. Who is Isabel really and what are her powers? I have to say out of the first couple of books, this one left me with the biggest cliffhanger as I was like OMG. However, due to reading Book #4, I was able to guess the answer when it was revealed. This cliffhanger has made me excited now to continue to read the series and head onto Book #5 Ache.
